1. Using the wheel for example, prehistoric engineers didn't have a very large range of transportation; they created the wheel and manipulated it to help them.

2. The engineering feat of the 20th century I felt was most significant was the car. Everyone drives a car and it is probably here to stay. More economic friendly cars are developing such as electric cars, hydro-powered cars, and battery powered cars. The wheel, the engine, the battery, and gas helped contribute to the car being made possible.

3. I think that the study of energy conservation and different forms of energy/power is going to have the greatest impact in the next ten years. If we find a way to permanently replace petroleum, then we should be okay. Wind power, electrical power, battery power, solar power, and hydro power are all things that we have discovered thus far. If we advance our studies, we can stop the energy crisis. We can make some money since we won’t have to buy petroleum from the Middle East.

4. Some attributes possessed by early engineers were; laws of science, past inventions, and methods of recording. Science is used very much in engineering so that can help me understand engineering. Past inventions can help me learn from other engineers mistakes and can help me to innovate their invention. Methods of recording are used everywhere, everyday especially in engineers. You must communicate to be in this field.

1. In what ways did prehistoric engineers overcome limitations of the time to perform the same functions as modern engineers?

-Engineers then, had nothing even close, to the materials and things we can get our hands on now. They had very few and basic tools and ideas. Despite this, they used, whatever they had in every and any way they could to make whatever they thought about and wanted to make. Although stuff they made was usually a lot slower process due to the lack of technology, they used the basics, and still accomplished the job with what they had and did it to the very best of their ability.

2. Which engineering feat of the twentieth century do you feel was the most significant and what were some of the underlying principles that finally made it possible?

-Either the car, or computer. The car, because it gave us an, fairly inexpensive, easy way to travel from point A to B much quicker and efficiently then previous. Some major parts to the car is the combustible engine and the wheel, two very major and key rolls in how a car runs. Then the computer is what the world is based on now. It enhances communication to an unbelievable level. It has hard-drives, microchips and so many other important parts.

3. Which areas of current research do you think are going to have the greatest impact in the next ten years and how will that research affect current problems?

-Chemical, because this plays a major roll in medicines. Medicine, is a very, very vital part to the health upkeep of people, and many new medicine will be created to treat previously untreatable sicknesses.

4. What were the attributes possessed by early engineers that would help you become a successful engineer today?

-well, as i stand now, i have classes, in high school! that teach me about all the sorts of engineerings. $ years before college, thus giving me a huge advantage. But your mind and creativity can help you, because if you have the ambition, to build things with your creativity, you're well on your way.

1. In what ways did prehistoric engineers overcome limitations of the time to perform the same functions as modern engineers?

They used simple machines. Such as the incline plane, pulley and the lever

2. Which engineering feat of the twentieth century do you feel was the most significant and what were some of the underlying principles that finally made it possible?

One engineering feat that is most significant is how to build buildings. Some of the underlying prinicples were the advencments of cemement.

3. Which areas of current research do you think are going to have the greatest impact in the next ten years and how will that research affect current problems?

Medical research such as trying to find a cure for cancer. This research will affect all the people that have cancer and it could save a lot of lives.

4. What were the attributes possessed by early engineers that would help you become a successful engineer today?

one attribute is the advencement of building tools. Back in the stone age they didn't have computers with CAD on them, so they had to draw them out by hand.

The used engineering to help them cloth themseleves

2. Which engineering feat of the twentieth century do you feel was the most significant and what were some of the underlying principles that finally made it possible?

the computers they have been updated i think that they are the most important

3. Which areas of current research do you think are going to have the greatest impact in the next ten years and how will that research affect current problems?

i think the unmanned vehicals they will help us with out with the less of our people dieing

4. What were the attributes possessed by early engineers that would help you become a successful engineer today?

the knowlage of phisics it would help us majorly

1. In what ways did prehistoric engineers overcome limitations of the time to perform the same functions as modern engineers?
They used simple machines. Such as: Inclined plane, lever, pulley, wedge, and screw.

2. Which engineering feat of the twentieth century do you feel was the most significant and what were some of the underlying principles that finally made it possible?
I think the biggest feat was the invention of the airplane, the start of flight. The Wright Brothers made it possible.

3. Which areas of current research do you think are going to have the greatest impact in the next ten years and how will that research affect current problems?
I think the areas that are going to have the greatest impact are Marine and Astro Engineering, because we still have a lot to discover and learn still.

4. What were the attributes possessed by early engineers that would help you become a successful engineer today?
I think some attributes would be: Positive atitude, hard working, and good people skills.
